Sector Scheme
Applied Traffic joined the Sector Scheme in 2008, not only as a requirement for those carrying out electrical works on the Highways Agency network, but also as a matter of course for the safety and well being of our staff and those who they may affect when out on site.
We champion this scheme as something we hope will become necessary for all road network users as it sets a high standard for safety.
We have become registered and fulfilled the requirements for Environmental and Monitoring Equipment and are working with our sub-contractors to help them become accredited too. Our staff are now working towards an NVQ qualification appropriate to their role.
As part of the scheme we:
Annually review all staff training to ensure they receive refresher training within 3 years of their previous course. Continually provide tool box talks to ensure everyone has the most up to date knowledge. Regularly assess all staff equipment and PPE. Provide all necessary resources to ensure that no one carries out a task that is unsafe for them.
Please visit the HEA website for more information on the scheme.
